FROM IRONPIGS

ALLENTOWN, PA - The IronPigs get a go-ahead homerun from 1B Jim Murphy, but a five-run Clippers eighth inning dooms the Pigs as they drop their third straight to Columbus, 7-4.
After the Clips took an early 2-0 lead, Lehigh Valley answered with two in the fifth inning on a OFLeandro Castro 2-RBI single through the left side. Murphy would lead off the seventh inning with the game still knotted at 2, and send his ninth homerun of the year - and first since May 29th - over the wall in left field. The homerun came off of former IronPig RHP J.C. Ramirez, and was just the second of Murphy's nine to be hit at Coca-Cola Park.
