http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Solid Ratings for Giants/Panthers on NFL Network- Yesterday’s Thursday Night Foot all match-up between the Giants and Panthers earned the NFL Network an average rating of 4.6 with seven million viewers. That mark makes the game the fifth highest ranked game in the history of Thursday Night Football and the highest rated program of the night on cable television. Through two weeks of the Thursday Night Football schedule, there has been an average of 675K unique users to NFL Digital Media platforms providing coverage and features around the games. That figure is pacing 52% ahead of the 2011 seasonal average (445K) for Thursday Night Football on NFL.com/LIVE, NFL Mobile from Verizon, and the NFL 12 tablet app. NFL Network, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks Agree on Carriage Deal- The NFL Network today announced it has reached a long-term carriage agreement with Time Warner Cable and the Bright House Networks. NFL Network and NFL RedZone will debut in Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks homes beginning this Sunday September 23, with full launch before Thursday, September 27. Time Warner was the last of the major cable carriers to reach an agreement with the network. Sunday Night Baseball Features Dodgers/Reds- The season finale of Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN this week will pit the Los Angeles Dodgers at Cincinnati Reds. Dan Shulman, Terry Francona, Orel Hershiser, and Buster Olney have the call beginning at 8:00p.m. ET. Sunday Night Baseball is also available on ESPN Radio (with Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton), ESPN Deportes, ESPN Mobile TV and WatchESPN. Giants Coach Tom Coughlin Next to be Spotlight on A Football Life- The next edition of the NFL Network’s A Football Life series will feature Giants’ head coach Tom Coughlin. The program debuts next Wednesday at 8:00p.m. ET. Being: Liverpool Gets Solid Ratings on Fox- Fox Sports reports that the first installment of Being: Liverpool, a behind-the-scenes look at the Premier League Club, received a rating of 1.1 last week just before and/or after NFL action. That rating is 10% higher than Premier League game action in the same time slots last year. The series will now shift to Fox Soccer with the next episode set for Sunday at 2:00p.m. ET. PBR and Power Boats on CBS Sports Spectacular- The CBS Sports Spectacular this week will feature Professional Bull Riding (PBR) and Power Boat Racing. On Saturday at 1:00p.m. ET the PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle will take place from Tampa. Craig Hummer,Justin McBride and Marty Snider call the action. Saturday at 2:00p.m. ET the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing event from Missouri will take to the air. Ken Stout, Alan Reinhart, Terry Boyd and Leslie Meyers will be on the scene.
