http://sportsmediajournal.com/ NBC Still Getting Strong Viewership for Olympics- NBC Sports says 31.6 million viewers tuned in to Monday night’s prime time coverage of the Olympics, making it the most watched first Monday in 36 years. Viewership is 1.4 million more than the first Monday night of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 4.5 million more than the first night of the 2004 Athens Olympics. Monday’s rating was 18.0, 2% higher than 2008 and 8% higher than 2004. Other NBC Properties Also Seeing Strong Olympics Numbers- Saturday and Sunday’s coverage of the Olympics on the NBC Sports Network resulted in the highest viewership in the history of the network. NBCSN had an audience of just under 1.1 million on Saturday and 1.2 million on Sunday. MSNBC, CNBC, and Bravo are also seeing viewership gains over the first days of the Games. CBS Sports Network Producing College Football Previews This Week- The CBS Sports Network is producing a series of four programs looking ahead to the 2012 college football season. Inside College Football: Summer Special will focus on a specific topic beginning tonight through Friday beginning at 7:00p.m. ET. Adam Zucker hosts and is joined by CBS Sports Network analysts Brian Jones, Randy Cross and Bruce Feldman,as well as guest analysts former Illinois coach Ron Zook and former Mississippi coach Houston Nutt. NFL Media Creating “It’s Serious Fun” Campaign for Upcoming Season- NFL Media is rolling out a new promotion campaign called “It’s Serious Fun”. The fully integrated promotion, consisting of national TV, print, radio, online, events and on-air spots, will help promote the NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football telecasts as well as Fantasy Football on NFL.com. The spots will appear throughout the NFL season. MLS, NBC Partner on New MLS Day-In-The-Life Series- Major League Soccer and NBC Sports are collaborating on MLS 36, an in-depth and exclusive 36 hour period behind-the-scenes look into the life of an MLS superstar. The premiere episode will be Sunday, August 5th at 9:30p.m. ET and feature Chris Wondolowski of the San Jose Earthquakes.
