NBC Sees Best Opening Three Days of Olympic Viewership in History- The viewership numbers continue to be impressive for NBC during the Olympics. Through three days the network is averaging 35.8 million viewers, the highest for the first three days of the Games ever. Sunday night’s rating was 19.8, 9% higher than 2008 and 29% greater than 2004. ESPN to Air MLB Trade Deadline Special- Tomorrow afternoon ESPN will produce SportsCenter Special: Baseball Trade Deadline to report on the potential league trades leading up to the 4:00p.m. deadline. Karl Ravech will host the 90-minute show with analyst John Kruk and ESPN MLB Insiders Buster Olney, Tim Kurkjian and Jayson Stark. ESPN will also present breaking news and analysis. The special airs at 3:00p.m. ET. on ESPN. ESPN Adds College Hoops Analysts and Gives Rose a new Assignment- ESPN today announced that it has hired former college basketball coaches Bruce Pearl and Seth Greenberg as analysts. The network also announced that Jalen Rose will be added to the college basketball commentator team and serve as featured analyst of College Gameday. Pearl and Greenberg will each serve as studio analysts throughout the season and will call select games from various conferences. Rose replaces Hubert Davis, who left ESPN to join the coaching staff at North Carolina. Wolfe and Herron to Announce Arena Bowl- The NFL Network has announced that Ari Wolfe and Anthony Herron will be on the call for Arena Bowl XXV on August 10th. The Arena Bowl kicks-off at 10:30am ET from New Orleans.
