Central Catholic will have a press conference early Tuesday morning at the school at which time it is expected that Rich Fatzinger will announce his resignation as boys basketball coach.

Fatzinger coached the Vikings for the last two seasons and won two district titles and a state playoff game each year. His record at CCHS is 33-20, going 17-10 in the 2010-11 season and 16-10 last year.

Of course, before he came to CCHS, Fatzinger had lengthy stints as the girls and boys coach at Parkland and also served as the school's athletic director for one year.

CCHS figures to have a strong nucleus of players returning next season with Muhammad Ali Abdur-Rahkman, David Stevens, Jimmy Vaughan and Jean Lee Baez all having just completed their sophomore seasons. Mike Kammerer is also back next year. All five of those guys saw considerable playing time this past year.
