Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 student arrested following 'vicious attack' aboard school bus

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A 19-year-old Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 student was charged with beating a younger student after the victim allegedly rapped vulgarities about him and his girlfriend earlier today.

A Bushkill Township police officer stationed at the school was called to a bus leaving the academy on the reports of a major brawl. When the officer arrived at the school bus, he found Anthony Nicholas Moran and his 17-year-old girlfriend assaulted a 16-year-old boy on the bus, according to court documents.

The 16-year-old had been rapping vulgarities for several minutes at Moran and the 17-year-old, including how he was going to "cut and kill" Moran and "rape" the 17-year-old, according to court documents. Eventually, Moran took off his jacket, spoke to his girlfriend and the two began a "vicious attack" against the 16-year-old, according to court documents.

The entire ordeal was captured on the bus' surveillance camera. Moran cooperated with the investigation after police arrived, according to court records.

Moran, who has a Bushkill Township post office box, was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and harassment. No charges have been filed against the 17-year-old, according to court personnel.

The 16-year-old complained of head and neck pain and was taken to Pocono Medical Center for treatment, according to court records.
