Wrap up your weekend with Celtic Classic

FROM THE MORNING CALL

Sunday, Sept. 25 is the last day of Celtic Classic, but hardly the least. Get you kilt on for entertainment in downtown Bethlehem.

The City of Bethlehem Pipe Band kicks things off at 11 a.m. Energetic local band Burning Bridget Cleary opens the Grand Pavilion at noon, followed by Girsa, Makem & Spain Brothers, Emish and Glengarry Bhoys bringing the fun to a close starting at 6:30 p.m. There's also music in Foy Hall, the Ice House, the Tavern Stage and in the new Jameson Irish Pub, where there will also be Irish ceili dancing and contra dancing starting at 1 p.m.

The Highland Games continue with events for both pros and legends, including the 22-pound hammer throw and caber toss. Meet the athletes at 5:15 p.m.

The Drum Major Competition is at 3 and the Massed Bands at 4 p.m. Don't miss the border collies at 6:30 p.m. And come with an empty stomach to fill with haggis, shepherd's pie and Killian's beer.

Admission is free. Info: http://www.celticfest.org.
