Martin Guitar to sponsor VH1 Save the Music Foundation benefit concerts

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

C.F. Martin Guitar announced today they will co-sponsor the VH1 Save the Music Foundation Songwriters Music Series to support music programs in schools.

The series kicks off May 10 in New York City with an acoustic set by "Glee" star Matthew Morrison. After that, the series heads to Nashville for a June 2 show at the Hard Rock Cafe with Academy of Country Music Award-winning group The Band Perry. A performance in September in Los Angeles will finish the series with a soon-to-be-announced artist.

Tickets are $100 each, with proceeds benefiting the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, according to a news release. They can be purchased at vh1savethemusic.com/songwriters.

Other sponsors of the event include Starburst, Anheuser-Busch and William Hill Estate Wines. The sponsorship is the first in a series of new initiatives Martin Guitar is planning in charitable events.
