Will new Crystal Ball from Santa help?

FROM KEITH GROLLER

In an effort to improve my performance in the Groller-Zambelli Challenge and all prediction contests in the coming year, Santa gave me a new crystal ball on Christmas morning.

Typical for me, however, it requires a nine-volt battery and all I have are AA and AAAs.

So, it's not up and running quite yet, but maybe just having something new will improve my luck.

The holidays, more specifically my wife, kept me away from the NFL games that were already played this weekend, so I have been saved from two losses already.

My totals for the year are 118-100 outright, 95-116-7 vs. the spread and 107-108-3 on the over/under totals.

Here we go with 14 picks on what I hope will be a sweet Week 16:

MIAMI (-3.5) 27, Detroit 21 -- over the 41.

JACKSONVILLE (-6.5) 21, Washington 13 -- under the 45.5.

San Francisco 49ers (+2.5) 24, St. Louis 14 -- under the 39.5

Seattle (+6.5) 20, TAMPA BAY 17 -- under the 43.5

New England (-7.5) 24, BUFFALO 20 -- under the 45.5

New York Jets (+2.5) 23, CHICAGO 17 -- over the 36.

Tennessee (+4) 30, KANSAS CITY 20 -- over the 43.

OAKLAND (+2) 27, Indianapolis Colts 24 -- over the 47.

Houston Texans (-2.5) 35, DENVER 28 -- over the 49.

New York Giants (+3) 27, GREEN BAY 19-- over the 43.
