Philadelphia Phillies prospects Domonic Brown, Jarred Cosart selected for Futures Game

Two players in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system have been chosen for the 12th annual Futures Game to be played on July 11 as part of Major League Baseball's All-Star weekend in Anaheim, Calif.

Outfielder Domonic Brown, currently playing a Double-A Reading along with Single-A Lakewood pitcher Jarred Cosart, have been chosen to the 25-man U.S. roster that will compete against their counterparts on the World squad.

Cosart is one of only two Class A pitchers on the U.S. team. He is currently 7-2 with a 3.44 ERA in helping the Blue Claws clinch the first half South Atlantic League title.

Brown is hitting .317 with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs for the R-Phils. He was ranked No. 14 of the top 50 prospects in minor league baseball heading in to this season.
