Nazareth Area High School graduate Danny Wilk, who will continue his academic and athletic careers at the University of Pennsylvania, will not play in Thursday night's McDonald's Lehigh Valley All-Star Football Classic at Nazareth's Andrew Leh Stadium after suffering an ACL tear in his knee last week.

Wilk, who played wide receiver and defensive back for the Blue Eagles, said he will have surgery in the upcoming weeks and expects to redshirt this fall at Penn.

A two-sport athlete, Wilk caught 43 passes for 539 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior. He added 222 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. He also had 31 tackles and five interceptions.

Wilk is listed as a wide receiver for the Gold team (Northampton County, Palisades and Phillipsburg), coached by Northampton's Bob Steckel.

"Danny looked great," Steckel said. "It's really a shame."
