They will be holding a ceremony where they will have a Color Guard, Rifle Team, and Bugler. In the afternoon the Marine Corps League and Auxillary will assemble and lay a wreath to honor the memory of those who fought for our liberty and earned our freedom from a tyrannical monarch. The intent is to specifically honor those unsung heroes who participated in the blockade of the Delaware River during October and November of 1777. This ceremony will also emphasize the Marine Corps participation in that action on the Delaware River. We honor the hallowed ground of Fort Mifflin along with the 25,000 casualties of the American War for Independence.
