NFL CHAMPIONSHIP REVIEW

From Laura Nachman,

Here are some observations from the exciting and long NFC Championship game between the Vikings and Saints on Fox.

Best Commercials - Brett Favre for the Sears Blue Electronics Crew, The Morgan Freeman-voiced Visa commercial featuring speed skater Dan Jansen, “Bags Fly Free” for Southwest Airlines

Worst Commercial - The Oreo Double Stuff Racing League with the Manning brothers and the Donalds. Bring back the Williams sisters.

Best Fox Promo - NASCAR with the classic U2 song “Bad.”

The Human Target - Besides being a Fox show, it could describe Vikings’ quarterback Brett Favre, who was tossed around all day.

Kim Kardashian Cutaway Award - Deanna Favre

G-Loser - Former Eagle Greg Lewis missed a tackle on the big kickoff return by Saint Courtney Roby.

Fred and Vilma - Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, whose parents are from Haiti had a nice game.

Je M’applle Pierre - Fittingly, New Orleans has a player named Pierre Thomas.

Injured Reserve - Fox analyst Terry Bradshaw, who was under the weather, handed off his post-game duties to Chris Meyers for the trophy presentation.

Way to Go, Joe - Fox announcer Joe Buck mentioned at the beginning of the fourth quarter that the game would probably come down to a field goal, but thought the Vikings would have the advantage because Ryan Longwell had much more experience than the Saints’ kicker, Garrett Hartley.

Random Colts-Jets Comment -Former Eagle Hank Baskett had a good night, as his new team, the Colts is going to The Super Bowl and the birth of his son was shown on the E! show, “Kendra.”

Peyton vs. Payton Super Bowl - Up next, Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts vs. Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints

Who Dat?- Isn’t it perfect that The Who will be the Super Bowl halftime performers for Who Dat nation.
